Preparations before a PMU appointment
Being prepared for your PMU appointment will guarantee you the best results since the first treatment.
Years ago, many of these contraindications were not known, but now they are clearly identifiable.
- Do not drink coffee, alcohol, or energy drinks 24 hours before treatment.
- Do not take blood thinners, such as Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, D, or A, Ibuprofen, fish oil (omega-3), or vitamins 48 hours before the treatment.
- Discontinue taking collagen or biotin at least a week before the appointment.
- No waxing 2-3 days before treatment.
- Avoid tanning or intense sun exposure for three days before treatment.
- If you use local retinoid products or acids, refrain from using them for at least a week prior to treatment.
- Botox or filler injections in the forehead, temple, and eye area should be avoided for at least four weeks prior to treatment.
- No chemical peels, laser peels, dermabrasion, or any other intense treatment 2 months before treatment.
- Avoid sweating or working out 3 hours before treatment.
All use of antibiotics must be completed at least 3 days before treatment.
